Studio 55
Studio 55 was a former single family home converted into a hair and beauty salon. The materials chosen are a vibrant and local granite stone as well as stained and treated cedar planks for the canopy fascia. A contemporary raised entrance greets patrons at the end of the ramp. A translucent curtain wall addresses the street and provides a glimpse of the salon’s activities. The original residence’s roof lines are maintained as well as the single wythe brick.
